Since its getting ever closer to Heather's mini tour and im getting ridiculously excited for my first Heather concert, I thought we could make our prefered set list for the gig. Choose 18 songs, as many covers / M People / Solo tracks within that 18 as you like. Here's mine...
1. Angel Street
2. Holding On
3. One Night In Heaven
4. Dreaming
5. Everything's Alright
6. Finally Found My Way
7. Feeling Good (Nina Simone Cover)
8. Bad Girls (Donna Summer Cover)
9. Better Way
10. Sight For Sore Eyes
11. Fantasy Island
12. Don't Look Any Further
13. Don't Give Up On Love
14. Radio On
15. Proud
16. 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover (Extended)
ENCORE:
17. You Need Love Like I Do (Duet with male backing singer)
18. Moving On Up |

Well I liked the set featured on Heather's first solo tour ! Given the write up it sounds as though it may be a return to something like that. I always did think it should have been the basis of her second album.
I do like Testify and Dreaming though.... |

My ideal setlist would be:
1. Renaissane (Like the MPeople shows... Where is HS? "Im Coming!")
2. Holding On
3. Moving On Up (M People)
4. Knock On Wood (Cover)
5. Rise Up
6. Someday (M People)
7. You Need Love Like I Do (with Male Backing Vocalist)
8. Radio On
9. (This one could be alternated between "Angel St", "How Can I Love You More" and "Search For The Hero"... M People).
10. Ease Your Troubled Mind
11. I Who Has Nothing (Cover)
12. Nobody But You (Cover)
13. Bring It On Home (with Snake Davies)
14. Close To A Miracle
15. I've Been There
16. Don't Give Up On Love
ENCORE:
17. Love Is Always There
18. One Night In Heaven (M People)
19. Proud
YES I DO have lots of faith in the strenght and quality of music that are Heather's two solo albums... Solo tour, solo material

Ok So I changed my mind. The "Ride On Time" revelation makes me think, "HEATHER SMALL - THE HISTORY TOUR" would be a great idea.
Start the setlist with a couple of Hot!House tracks:
Don't Come To Stay
Crazy (Willie Nelson cover)
Then "Ride On Time" with a brief explaination it is her vocals.
Onto the M People hits.
How Can I Love You More
One Night In Heaven
Moving On Up
Search For The Hero
Testify
Perfect Day from the charity single
Solo stuff to follow:
Proud
Holding On
You Need Love Like I Do (again with the backing vocalist)
//Bring It On Home (with Snake Davies)//
Radio On
Close To A Miracle
Love Is Always There
A Cover
Then a brand new track (which could be released on her website for download). |
