And speaking of M-People's future, she commented: "It is 20 years since we started the band this year, so we might do something that is a celebration of that time. I'm not sure there will be more albums, but we will always do shows."

Thanks for the link.

I wonder what they will do, if anything.

If it just so happens to be a Tour (or god forbid, another greatest hits), I think they should smack on a unreleased song or two, they must have a few recorded, un-released songs lying about somewhere.

That would be nice.

Would be great to have him join...but regardless, it will be so great to see them altogether it's been 2 years...and, I know I've said it before, we are so lucky to love a band who still perform together and still get on!!!

When I last saw Heather, she did mention M People's 20th anniversary and I suggested a big arena birthday tour and she laughed and said no-one would come...

... except you fans of course...

... and then she LOL

But yes, they should mark this milestone with something special.

Heather isn't being fair to the band even if she was joking - they had a good turn out in '05 and '07 (for the forest tour). Although the audiences were half the size compared to their 'hey day' and having no new material they still drew in the crowds between 4 to 5 thousand :0)

i think they could pull of a decent medium tour with enough new promotion and perhaps a couple of brand new songs x

If they do tour, something original would be nice.
AND
20 years means Heather MUST get the hair up.

not sure if this signifies anything really but hey ho - DC was closed by BMG and now.........

Deconstruction Records is back. In a joint venture between Sony’s Senior Vice President of A&R Mike Pickering, one of the founder members, and Three Six Zero Group's AnD press, the dance imprint has returned with a series of back catalogue releases before signing new artists later in the year.
They have also just distributed all of the M's videos on you tube

What you think guys??

Deconstruction Records was founded in 1987 and ran until 2001. It quickly gained a strong reputation for cutting-edge, contemporary dance music. Beyond signing the major crossover dance hits of the time, the label excelled in developing artists such as Black Box, M People, Way Out West, Sasha, Republica, Kylie Minogue, N Joi, and many more, and was at the forefront of the Italo house movement. Deconstruction was also the parent label for Concrete Recordings, responsible for acts such as Lionrock, Death In Vegas, Dub Pistols, and others.

sorry my mind is working overtime now.....DEcon finished in 2001 and by chance reforms now......mike was never seen in any concert after decon closed but in all before......just a theory thats all Decon was always close to Mikes heart and now there back a ready lable for the M's to distribute on????/

Maybe its the bipolar or can someone think this is a good thing, what better way to get the 'New Decon' up and running with an already established band with a pretty good fan base and footing within the industry. lets face it Heather could release whateva she wants it aint goin nowhere....if Proud had Mpeople on it..it would have been easily a top 5....GRRR

It is sure a positive sign with the 'official' videos going up on the Deconstruction youtube channel....when they reformed Decon their was no mention of MPeople but now maybe the doors are open for some new releases/remixes (at the least!)

"Colour My Life" video is a different mix to the CD?
